Our Host, Thomas J. Sandrin had the oportunity of covering this event and share with us a bit of the experience, novelties, curiosities and energy displayed in this show, where one of the most beautiful feature to highlight (beside the Timepieces, off course) were the good vibe and happiness of the collectors, watch enthusiasts who attended to this exhibition.
Enjoy and discover new watches and the stories behind, from the hand of the watchmakers themselves.

WatchDNA — Where Time Connects Us All.
Hey everyone, so we are literally just arriving here in Toronto at the Toronto Tempest, and we saw some familiar faces, some people that I just met, which I'm a pleasure to meet. How are you doing, Chuck?
SPEAKER_11Ready for a weekend of watches. We're about to see the frenzy descend on Toronto of all the watch maniacs who can't wait to see everything you can't see except for the internet. So many of these brands are only here. And I'm thrilled to go and try some on before the rest of the world gets to play. Yeah. But this is gonna get crazy in Toronto.
SPEAKER_02And this is cool. I like this cold nest right now. You know, it's just like hanging out, just chilling, having a good time.
SPEAKER_11Yeah, well, based on previous years coming in with the public, I've really been it's so busy, it's almost uncomfortable sometimes. You're waiting in line to see a piece, you're hoping that nobody buys what you want. Yeah, and uh this is a unique experience to be here on the VIP night where I actually get to see things, touch things without crowding. I'm really excited.
SPEAKER_02So now I am turning my hand because we met for the first time today. And I would love to know a little bit of why you're here today. Can you introduce yourself a little bit?
SPEAKER_09I've known Sean for years. Okay, and I had a free night and I enjoy watches. Perfect. So I'd never been to a watch show ever in my life. Wow. So, you know, here we are.
SPEAKER_02I love to joke that I love to be the first one. Um that's not my show, but I love to be next to be the first one.
SPEAKER_10What do you do and what's your platform about? All cars. Okay, primarily I review uh new cars. I've been racing cars for a long time, so I kind of like the fast one. Yeah, but I cover everything.
SPEAKER_02And usually people that like cars, they like time pieces, and usually the background is the same. Mechanical, you know, the engineering before. You're absolutely right. Listen, it was a pleasure meeting you. Pleasure is mine. This is just the first conversation, but uh I'm sure you will talk all night. And then last but not least, Mr.
SPEAKER_12Shasta, what are you expecting today? Thomas, actually, we are literally walking at the heart of the storm. Also, Sean mentioned about you know buying some watches. I have maybe one special message to you, Sean. I accept late birthday gifts, but if time piece, I won't say enough.
SPEAKER_02And I don't know if you gentlemen notice, but I don't have a watch because I'm ready. I'm ready to try them all, you know.
SPEAKER_11It's funny you say that last year I didn't wear any, but tonight I'm wearing three. Yeah? Oh I've got my Rolex, yeah, I've got the computer that I'm wearing a Casio ring watch. I like it.
SPEAKER_02I like it. Alright, cool, gentlemen. Enjoy today. I took you so much of your time already. Thanks so much and uh stay tuned for more.
SPEAKER_05Hello again! Hello again, how you been? Very good.
SPEAKER_02And what's new with the brand?
SPEAKER_05What was just launched recently is the iconic iced tea frozen. And so we have here this bronze, iconic iced tea frozen, which is a carbon dial, ceramic bezel, bronze paste, and then the filigree in the dial is a a resin, carbon bronze features, uh resin, and then it develops this like filigree line. So you can see it actually also well with the purple. So this is the purple resin going into the carbon, okay, and then it develops. So this will be we have this in several colors. We have it in purple, blue, titanium, and as well as the limited bronze version. And then Kelstin just asked me about the artist we always have, like bottle. We will have a new artist in 2027, so a limitation fantastic artist, actually. But that is really kind of the big launch, but then you know, like we saw this, yeah, this was for the 250th anniversary of the United States. They developed seven types of the Statue of the Liberty Crown, it lights up at night as well, and then this is the Bertolig, so the oxidation of the Statue of Liberty, it's called the Bertoly Green, and then of course, and we also have a leather strap, a grey leather strap with the same stitch going down. This is a limited edition of 50 pieces.
SPEAKER_02Oh, really?
SPEAKER_05Yeah, nice, but you can wear anytime because we have a green strap, and then the number four is in red. The only thing uh we didn't do the blue, red, and white, but we just put a sub four, and then we have but I think that would be launched or in the summertime. We launched the Pantas Solar. This is the Pantas Solar, it comes in the three hand or chronograph version. This is uh fully loaded for eight months. You can put it in the floor, pull it out, it's fully loaded for over eight months. We just pull it out, put it to the light, and the chronograph would be five months.
SPEAKER_02Thank you for taking the time with us, and good luck for the week.
SPEAKER_09Hi, Peter Cho here from Jack Mason. So we're here in Serrano Time Peace Show. It's our third year doing this show, but we're always happy to be back. And I just wanted to walk you through a couple of our new pieces. So, our latest release is the Canton Day Date. The Canton Day Date is based off of our original Canton series, but it comes in at 41 millimeters. This one in particular has a CNC Guillet dial, so you're gonna really get this really amazing texture that's very precise that also causes the color to really shine in the light very well. And on this, we also come with this sporty version, which is the Day Date Resort. And the dial texture is slightly different, but you're also gonna get a contrasting day of the week and a contrasting chapter ring. The movement is an SW240, so it's made by Salita, top grade. We have our own custom rotor on there that has our Lone Star logo. And the other watch that I'd love to highlight is our Strato Timer 42. The Strato Timer 42 is based off of our, of course, our flagship model, the Strato Timer, which comes in 40 millimeters. But in 42 millimeters, you're getting a bit more size that's quite noticeable. And this colorway in particular is quite unique because of the green bezel black dial, but you also get the gilted handset and indices. This has been an extremely popular colorway for us, but at 42 millimeters, you're also getting a slightly wider love width at 22 millimeters versus the 20. So you're gonna get a little more wrist presence on this one.
SPEAKER_02How are you doing?
SPEAKER_06Very good, what are you doing?
SPEAKER_02Marco, pleasure, Marco. So can you tell us a little bit about your brand?
SPEAKER_06Yes, Econorta was born in Italy in 2018. It was previously a crowdfounding project, then became a real brand. The idea is to match the very best of Italian skills in terms of design and attention for details, and obviously Swiss made watchmaking. So that's the idea. Can we go on the other side and you can show us a little bit of product? Of course. So here we have our 1956 collection, which is our vintage heritage collection, and we basically have three enders pieces and GMT pieces, all of them automatic. Then we move to the chronographs and we have regular chronographs, manual winding, and this is the latest release is a matching between uh GMT and chronograph, is a GMT chrono. As you can see, we have uh many different shades of colors. Watches always come with two different straps, usually one scrubber exactly, or the stainless steel. So, once again, this is our vintage collection. Then we move to the Averau collection, which is our field watch. Here we have 39mm in stainless steel, we have three handers and moon phases. Then we move to the same collection but 42 millimeters in ceramic and tight ending frame. And in this collection, for the moment we have three handers and chronograph, which by the way is our first automatic chrono, and something new is about to happen in this collection. Then we move to the rivanera, it's a special dial to celebrate our very first studio, which is in Milan. But this one is available only in Milan, only at the studio. Here is our Rivanera collection, which is our dress watch. But the idea was to create a real dress watch in terms of design dimension, but keeping the piece into the modern world, you're using different design and material. As you can see, sunblasted titanium with the polished edges, it's something that makes the watch really modern. You can wear it easily every day, but it's a real dress watch. So we deliver the first one, which is the rectangular rivanera with the small second hand and manual winding movements, and then we move to the rivanera piccolo, which is a little bit more square, automatic with a date instead of manual winding. So, can you tell us a little bit about this one? Yeah, this is the our rivanera piece, which is once again the dress watch. In this case, it's a special dial that we decided to create in order to celebrate our very first studio in Milan, which happened roughly seven months ago in March. Wow, congratulations! So, this one it's available only at the Milan studio and here today.
SPEAKER_02This weekend.
SPEAKER_06No, no, not even, not even. Oh wow, okay. So it's just a look.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah, just to have a look. Beautiful, awesome, great, thank you so much. Alright, what do you think about uh day one? I think it feels well.
SPEAKER_12We got the chance to kind of like do the preview and we will deep dive onto the watches. Okay, alright, so that was day one. We'll see you guys this weekend.
SPEAKER_02We'll see you tomorrow. See you later. Alright, Gagdas.
SPEAKER_12Day two here in Toronto. The storm is still going on, a lot of brands to see. Yeah, and it's also great to kind of like meet with the new ones as well that we haven't seen before. I think it's going uh really good. We have a good turnaround turnaround as well. How do you find the event so far?
SPEAKER_02No, it was good to be honest. Yesterday was always my Friday night, it was like a little bit hard, but you know, today is good. There's a lot of people, a lot as you said, a lot of new brands as well that I don't know. So I'm just going around with my little mic and then just you know introduce people with the brand. So it's pretty cool.
SPEAKER_12But overall, for our audience, guys, if you didn't have a chance to attend this year, please next year come here because you will be able to meet with different brands. Even there are a lot of good Canadian watchmen as well. I think they deserve a shout out and they deserve your attention. That's all I can say for now.
SPEAKER_02All right, stay tuned.
SPEAKER_10How's it going, everybody? My name is Drew. I'm the CEO and creator of Mount West Watchcoat. This is our summit model, comes in four different variants. We've got the Obsidian, the snowfall, the abyss, and the tree line. All of them feature our proprietary dual unidirectional bezel, and uh, I'll just show that to you real quick. Essentially, it's it's two separate bezels allowing you to quickly track two elements of time, right? Or to do comparative tracking, split time, multiple time zones. I mean, just a whole bunch of stuff. In fact, we've got all of the data laid out here so you can kind of see what complications can be achieved. But yeah, we're a brand new brand out of Salt Lake City, been on the market about four months. Oh, congratulations! Yeah, thank you. And we're trying very hard to bring something innovative and engaging to the next generation of watch enthusiasts. So, this is the packaging. You get the the full waterproof case, the black light, you get an additional silicone strap, an adjuster tool, and the warranty cart, and every single watch is serialized. And I do all the engraving, the assembly, and all regulation of the movement, sorry, you think. Which we do try to keep them all within cost certification. So doodle.
SPEAKER_00Hey guys, it's Danny with uh Zarek. We've been around since 2013. Started on Kickstarter. We're the founders. It's actually our first time in Canada, so that's cool. Welcome! Yeah, wanted to get you guys to Utah and New York. This is probably the most popular from the show today. This is the Triptych 2, so it's a wandering hour. Your hour points to the minutes, so it's like 6 30 there. And then as the time rotates, it'll change to the next hour in. So these are really popular, available for pre-order. Over on the other side of the table is another most popular, but you can't get there, so we'll start here. So this one's the regulator 1968. We're launching on Kickstarter next month in October. And so a regulator is where you split the hours, the minutes, and seconds on different posts, and it allows you to tell time in a unique way. This is the original regulator, and this is the more sporty one. So the more minimalist. This is the Halograph Chrono. So this is where you split time in half, and you read the time inside the circle, so it's like 1041.
SPEAKER_02One menu one day wake up and say, you know what? Here we can move in.
SPEAKER_00He used to collect a bunch of watches from the 60s and 70s, and then he started selling other people's watches and got bored with what he saw. So, like, they hired me in 2013 to start launching Zarek. And just like how to tell time in a unique, different way. So that's where it started. That's kind of where it's all right, guys.
SPEAKER_02How you doing today? I'm very well, Thomas. How are you? I'm I'm good.
SPEAKER_03I'm here. We are. Doing great. I'm Mad Hudson watches. What do we should know about this? Sounds good. Alright. Okay. Yeah, we are Mad Hudson. We're a little over a year old. We're from Chicago. I'm Connor Hudson. That is Mad Hudson, the woman. So together we're Mad Hudson watching the brand. Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And what was the click one day? Let me sell my own brand. Oh, let us sell our own brand.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, we had some experience working with a different watch company that uh closed doors and we had a little bit of a break and realized how much we loved watches and wanted to do our own thing and took a stab at it, and it was a blast. Can you show us a little bit of the toys? Would love to. This is uh broken time, which is one of our best sellers. It's meant to look like a free smash, but it actually works great. The hour and minute hands are fused together and ticked with the second. It's not really cracked. The cracks are painted on the underside. The subsecond hand just jumps loose. The way that you tell the time, turn the broken windows on either side. That's 710 on the side. Here's another great mover. This is the E D watch, right? Makes me sad when younger customers say that it's a vintage relic piece. But you know. The way that this one works. Pause icon tells you the hours, and then play tells you the minute. Middle disc turns around with the seconds. I love the way that this one catches light. But then we have the Eddie. This is named after my grandpa. I think it's a vintage-inspired piece. This is one of Mad's original designs. We have the Eddie for my grandpa and then the Peggy for my grandma. And they're both beautiful. You can see those next to each other right there. Yeah. Works great on a metal bracelet, on a leather strap. Then we have some new colorways that we're developing of these as well. Beautiful. How's the show being for you? It's so much fun. Yes. We'll be back here every year the weekend beat. Yeah, yeah. Love Toronto. Yeah. Cool. Perfect.
SPEAKER_02Thank you so much. Thank you. Introduction, Alessandra. Coming from Miami for Friday. Okay. How's the show for you?
SPEAKER_08I love it. There's so many good brands. It's like a beautiful venue. Such nice people. I'm loving it.
SPEAKER_02Beautiful. It's cool because this place this year we have a lot of not a lot, but there's a bunch of new brands. And also a lot of new people. Did you come here last year or no?
SPEAKER_07No, this is my first year.
SPEAKER_02Okay, so you see new people. Yes. And first impression, Toronto?
SPEAKER_08I like it. Yeah. It's nice. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Did you come to the CD before or no?
SPEAKER_08No, no, first time. The weather's still good right now. Yes. I mean, I'm from someplace warm, so still like in the weather.
SPEAKER_02Anything that you specifically saw that wow you.
SPEAKER_07Denison. Denison stood out to me this year. Okay. Stone dials, the mini ones. The stone dials. So that stood out to me. Laplace love it. Looks like a vintage pioche.
SPEAKER_02Perfect. Okay, listen, I don't want to take too much of your time. Thank you so much again for taking the time. Hey guys, I'm Wave Tyler from Northern Hill. Let's check it out. What is new today?
SPEAKER_04The most recent release, which is Night Drift here. That was inspired by like my nighttime walk, the dark blue night sky, and the lit up vegetation and leaves that come from like the streetlights lighting them up. And then over here we have Afterlife, which is a ethereal, in the sky cloud feeling vibe to the theme. These are my most like my two most recent releases, and that's where I've got for the show this time round. Where the inspiration came from for this one. Like nighttime and like the summertime, I'll go for a walk. I got inspired by the colors that I would see on those. I call them night drifts. Those walks. Yeah. You know, just like a walk to clear your head, right? This one. The inspiration for that. It was like uh up in the clouds, sort of like a heavenly theme to it. And then I just love the color combo of the blue sky, the white clouds, like a touch of gray.
SPEAKER_01I'm Chloe. I'm the founder of the middle, but I was still doing everything myself. It's also the brand in October 2025. We're getting up for a year, which um the anniversary before we get to that. So the whole idea behind the brand is a female collection. I do feel like I mean size out of the way. Oh my god, just a little bit. So now I decided to venture on an even more expensive movie, which is just all my cool collection that I started with. The whole idea is to bring together what feels more like me. Um that's the kind of idea. I really admire and love vintage cocktails in terms of their architecture and also vintage dress watches in terms of their courses. So this is something that brings together both of those things. So most of the time, kind of get black silver, white champagne, this is sort of taken as like pressure, uh different company colours. That's kind of where it's all for the side. This is a classic collaboration with Micro Indie Collective MIC, and they were quite important and to me starting out with a brand. You know, they gave me the connections I should speak to, even something like down to how much I should be paying for a strap. Is there anyone that could help me in terms of packaging? They helped me so much. So I did it in kind of like colour colors like black and fold. This was like something that I just decided to do on a whim for Black Friday. And yeah, basically, for some of the collectors that like something a bit commuted, I did 25 pieces of this. There's still a few available, but it's not on my website or anything. It's no idea. If you know you know there's gonna be 24 other people that have been watching review. And I kind of then graduated towards using stone dials, and as you can see, between eventually dial, it's a collaboration I did with Moroccan question called the Pedla, and we did 33 pieces, which Orion sold out within 24 hours. Did I say that was 33 piece limited edition? No, you didn't. Yeah, no, I didn't. So the idea was to have like an extension of the existing collection dial, purple dial, and dial as well. And this is one of 18 pieces in collaboration with the Jewish enthusiastic society and particularly.
SPEAKER_02Beautiful.
SPEAKER_12Alright, what did you guys think about the show? It was kind of a busy, you know, weekend for us. We got the chance to see a lot of you know cool brands. It's always a good event, you know, to put Toronto under the map, you know, for uh the watch community. Yeah, and I see you know a lot of you know international people visiting as not this is also a good sign for Toronto. That's what happened when the World Cup comes in town.
SPEAKER_11Now everybody's done about Toronto. It's amazing. This event allows people who never saw themselves as a watch person, as a timepiece person, introducing them to a new love, a new obsession. And I'm talking to people who who have one watch or 50 watches, and they have the same thing is that they're here, they're fascinated, they're seeing new things, and this is new friends. It's it's fantastic. This show is a magical moment that I'm already looking forward to the next. I think you see the kids in the candy store right now, like all everybody is like ah, big eyes and big eyes, a big smile. Everyone's happy. And I will say that there's been a shift that this show is you've got more access. Last year was very, very busy.
SPEAKER_12One final word is, guys. Next year, also come to Toronto Time Peace show. Please make sure to follow all of us for the coverage of the event that's most important. And also make sure that you come with a full wallet, right? Otherwise, you know, by the end of the event, you will have an empty wallet. Yes, exactly. Alright, see you later, guys. Make sure you follow everybody and peace and love.
